Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) Announces 'College Power Rankings'

Leading athletic recruiting firm announces top 100 colleges and universities for athletic programming and academics.

CHICAGO, IL, May 13, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Next College Student Athlete (NCSA), the largest and most successful NCAA-compliant athletic recruiting network that matches student-athletes with college coaches, announces its 2016 "College Power Rankings."

NCSA's "College Power Rankings" rates the top 100 NCAA schools based on their combined athletic and academic achievements. This is NCSA's seventh annual list scoring NCAA Division I, II, and III colleges and universities. This elite group represents the top eight percent of NCAA colleges and universities across the nation for athletic and academic excellence.

NCSA determines the rankings by averaging NCAA student-athlete graduation rates with rankings from the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, a comprehensive look at university athletic programs, and U.S. News & World Report's academic rankings of colleges and universities. NCSA combines these three factors to determine overall athletic and academic standards.

"Finding a school that suits academic and athletic needs is challenging," said Lisa Strasman, NCSA President. "The 'College Power Rankings' sets student-athletes and parents up for success, giving them the information they need to select a school that will help them excel both athletically and academically."

Williams College of Williamstown, Mass. tops the list at No. 1 with Stanford University, Amherst College, Middlebury College and John Hopkins University rounding out the top five.
