HUDSON VALLEY, NY, September 21, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- It's apple-picking season in the Hudson Valley, and Prospect Hill Orchards is excited to announce their bicentennial celebration with fun activities for all ages--September 23 and 24 from 10am-4pm at Prospect Hill Orchards located at 73 Clark's Lane in Milton. Admission is free.

During the Bicentennial Celebration, guests can view special historical displays, antique tractor, and early American crafts, in addition to enjoying traditional fall favorites: apple picking, farmstand goods, pumpkin picking, and more. And this year, Prospect Hill Orchard has seen a bumper crop of apples, which means a larger yield than usual.

Prospect Hill Orchards has been owned and maintained by the Clarke family for seven generations. "There's nothing quite like the beauty of autumn in the Hudson Valley, and our family has had the privilege of experiencing fall at the farm for 200 years," says Judy Clarke, the family's matriarch. "We thought the Bicentennial Celebration would be a great way to say 'Thank you' to the generations of families who've visited over time."

The Bicentennial Celebration kicks off a series of free, family-friendly events this fall at Prospect Hill Orchards. KIDS' DAYS (September 30 and October 1) are for the younger set, with face painting, crafts, scarecrow building, cider pressing, and more. The Johnny Appleseed Cider Fest offers old-fashioned cider pressing, hayrides, and scarecrow building, October 14 and 15.
