JEOLLABUK, REPUBLIC OF KOREA, October 03, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sukjae Park has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After completing six years in the position of Korean dean with Shandong Normal University in the Shandong Province of China, Dr. Park returned to his homeland in 2016 to teach economics at Woosuk University, specifically focusing in international trade and payment systems between Korea and China. In recognition of his boon to intercultural relations and commerce, the government of Shandong presented him with a 2014 Qilu Friendship Award. Dr. Park feels he has achieved so much because of his affection for teaching. He loves his students, and is always happy to meet new ones every year.

Though he was born in Republic of Korea, Dr. Park was exempted from military service and instead studied international trade and economics with Sungkyunkwan University. He felt a great affection for teaching, and was interested in teaching others and in international trade since high school. Dr. Park ultimately earned a doctorate in the subject with a specialization on letters of credit in 1997. He began teaching with Woosuk in March of that year and received a visiting scholar invitation from Wayne State University from 2005 to 2006.

In 2010, Dr. Park accepted the position of dean at Shandong Normal University in China. Dr. Park has dedicated his academic career to creating new knowledge in the field with books, articles, and meetings with industry professionals. He found great joy in teaching undergraduate students in China, strengthening the historic bond between the two countries.

Dr. Park excelled in his capacity as an international exchange professor, and he was recognized by the National Research Foundation of Korea with eight research projects on governing law for standby letters of credit, studies of international standard banking practice in Korea, and comparative studies concerning payment in the U.S.A., China, and Korea. Since 2015, he has served as vice president of both the Korea Trade Research Association and the Korean Research Institute of International Commerce and Law, solidifying his place as an authority on the subject of world economics.

In his free time, Dr. Park enjoys watching cinema, playing basketball, studying China, and helping others. He is the father of Jiin Park and Jiung Park, as well as the loving husband of Youngeun Jang.
