CHICAGO, IL, October 27, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- New Accountant Magazine, a trusted professional journal for college accounting students since 1985, has released its latest issue, available both in print and digital.

This issue of New Accountant explores all different topics around Accounting. From help for students, to important people in the field, to new and interesting careers within the field of Accounting.

This issue starts off with a Student Outlook article, "Exploring the Career of Entertainment Production Accounting" by Alicia Washington. Alicia addresses the fad of entertainment - from Netflix, to movie theaters. She sheds light on the people behind the scenes of these online series, movies and television shows, and says, "it's a team of accountants who play vital roles in the projects from start to finish." There are different possible roles and responsibilities production team members can take on; but basic accounting knowledge is required for all roles.

The Cover Story in this issue, "Meet the New President of Beta Alpha Psi" is written about Dr. Sandra B. Richtermeyer, an influencer in the financial information profession and business community. Richtermeyer has been committed to position the members of Beta Alpha Psi to their distinguished career paths, which is why she coined the theme of the year - Embracing the Opportunity. Beta Alpha Psi was founded in 1919; it is an honor organization for financial information students and professionals. The author continues, "the primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field."

In Lawrence R. Hudack and Beverly Strachan's Professional Outlook article, "Integrity + Due Care = Professional Success!" They touch on how accounting majors can get the maximum benefit from their college education. Authors continue to explain the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Code of Professional Conduct and how it contains valuable information on how to achieve. Find out if you are on the right track with the three-question quiz they provide.

On a similar note, students always wonder the tricks to passing required college courses and Professor Kevin A. Diehl just might have the answers in his article, "The Hoops Methodology: How to Ace Required Tax Classes." Diehl explains that a Principles of Taxation class is an intermediate and advanced class all in one, which is why students struggle in it. He continues, "to tackle this difficulty, students can resort to a simple, time-tested approach, the hoops methodology taught over the years in my Principles of Taxation and my Advanced Federal Taxation classes."

The final article in this issue, "Tax Practice Acronyms" by Thomas E. Buttross, Bruce Lubich, and George Schmelzle, discusses the unique tax profession language that one needs to understand in order to be successful.
