World Wide Day of Action Created by National Leadership Organization Take The Lead Brings Women Together to Learn New Tools, Explore New Ideas, and Move Women's Leadership Parity Forward

"Women do not want to be silenced any longer or told that it's not their time. It IS our time."

NEW YORK, NY, October 31, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "Women do not want to be silenced any longer or told that it's not their time. It IS our time." And with that Gloria Feldt, co-founder of Take The Lead, announces the formation of Take The Lead Day on November 14, 2017.

In a global call to action, in cities across the world, thousands of women will come together to achieve one singularly unifying goal--leadership equality, 70 years ahead of schedule. Take The Lead Day will engage women through a wide array of workshops, virtual webinars, and live events. Women around the world will be invited to master new tools, gain new perspectives, and learn a wide array of critical strategies.

Take The Lead Day will offer a variety of programs, watch parties, webinars and more in more than 89 cities and 10 countries; a half-day, skill-building symposium in New York City called "Powertopia" where women will be given new insights into a new vision of power and its uses from top speakers in industries stretching from finance to fashion.

A specially taped, exclusive, interview between Gloria Steinem, Gloria Feldt, actress Sarah Jones and SheKnows VP Reshma Gopaldas will be available for viewing parties and attendees to the New York City hub.

Also on tap is an evening cocktail party at the Helen Mills Auditorium in NYC on November 14 and special program, Women, Power and The Art of Leadership Parity, headlined with notable women like former Treasury Secretary Rosie Rios, actress Kathleen Turner and the musical group BETTY! and a three-part theater piece envisioning both how things are and how they might be developed with the help of Women in the Arts.

This one-day global event was created by Take The Lead, the leading nonprofit organization founded to provide women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to take their fair and equal share of leadership positions by 2025 with Presenting Sponsor Dow Jones, and Founding Sponsors Lyft, Galvanize, WeWork, Women Connect4Good, loveoverh8, Glassbreakers, Everyday Dishes, SheKnows Media, Golden Seeds, Wells Fargo, and the food and beverage sponsors City Winery, NY Distilling Company, and Vermillion.

Take The Lead prepares, develops, inspires and propels women to take their fair and equal share of leadership positions across all sectors by 2025.
