Louisiana Artist to Travel to Fort Worth to be Part of the Graffiti and Street Art Festival

Art on a Can Finalist J. Ben Moss is Set to Compete for the Grand Prize in March

"My hope is that my mural will inspire people to look around them and notice when they are actually happy. We forget to do that, I think," says J. Ben Moss, Artist.

FORT WORTH, TX, December 20, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- There has been a lot of buzz going around regarding Box Office Warehouse Suites, Fort Worth's most innovative and controversial business park to date. So much so, that Fort Worth's shipping container movement has spread worldwide, and artists such as J. Ben Moss have taken interest.

Earlier in the year, RDS Real Estate announced that they would be doing something that has never been done before, and so construction for Box Office Warehouse Suites began. Along with a business park made entirely from shipping containers, Box Office Warehouse Suites wanted to welcome freedom of expression to Fort Worth. Box Office Warehouse Suites will be home to innovative business minds that do not like to limit themselves when it comes to success, and the idea to display this expression freedom was born. Box Office Warehouse Suites announced that it would be hosting a graffiti and street art contest, Art on a Can, as part of the Graffiti and Street Art Festival, where artist would be able to have their murals displayed on the side of the shipping container business buildings. The contest welcomed all artists of all age levels, and had artists as young as thirteen years of age submit applications, and even reached artists overseas.

After judge deliberation, five finalists were chosen to compete for the grand prize, and among those finalists is a Louisiana based artist better known as J. Ben Moss. J. Ben Moss is not a rookie when it comes to art, professionally, he's been an artist for approximately twenty years. At heart, he has been an artist for as long as he can remember, around forty years' worth of memories that relate to art. When asked about his ties with art, J. Ben Moss had this to say, "I have always made art, from the moment I could pick up a crayon as a child. What really got me going was comics. Comics sparked everything that has come after.

Moss' early comic interest can be reflected on some of his art pieces and overall artist style. If anything is taken from his mural, Moss wants it to be this, "My hope is that my mural will inspire people to look around them and notice when they are actually happy. We forget to do that, I think. It is very easy to get mired in the day-to-day drudgery of living. Sometimes just being, taking a moment to appreciate your present moment can be helpful. Even better is being able to stop and laugh."

J. Ben Moss will be one of the five finalists that will have his mural displayed to the public at Graffiti and Street Art Festival, a one-day art festival in Fort Worth. The festival proceeds will be donated to SPCA of Texas, and there will be gallery tours of the shipping containers, different forms of entertainment, free food, and prize giveaways throughout the day. This event is anticipated to draw a large crowd of all age ranges, being a family-friendly event where furry friends are also welcomed. It will be hosted by and held at Box Office Warehouse Suites on March 17, 2018, from 11 A.M. until 5 P.M.

Box Office Warehouse Suites is located in the heart of the Alliance Town Center business area, just north of Fort Worth, south of the Alliance Airport, off the Golden Triangle exit. The development will have 38-multi-use office-business suites and retail spaces, made from over 100 shipping containers, with rents starting as low as $875 per month. It is a truly unique business opportunity that is hard to pass up on.
