St. Thomas Hospital – Still Trying to Rebuild After Hurricanes Irma & Maria: Delivering Patient Care Despite Devastation

ST. THOMAS, USVI, April 05, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Radiology Department is thrilled with the work that they have been able to accomplish to date, given the physical damage to the facility as a result of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The Radiology team has done well with maintaining the day to day operations after facing two major hurricanes. The Radiology Department which is comprised of Cat Scan, X-ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and Angio Suite, all of which sustained damage from the storms, are in need of financial support to replace items that were compromised.

The Radiology Department proudly provides over 16,000 procedures to the Virgin Islands' residents, tourists and visitors. The Radiology Department would greatly appreciate your consideration of becoming a donor to the department.

The goal is to replace damaged equipment so that the mission of the healthcare system center can be upheld and continue to provide outstanding patient care and services. The below listed are a few needs that would assist the Radiology Department immensely.

Trophon Disinfection System
C-arm and Mini C-arm
Fluroscopy Unit
Ultrasound Machine
Destroyit 4004 Cross Cut Industrial Paper Shredder
Multifunction printer/copier/fax machine
Waiting room chairs

I would like to set up a conference call with you to discuss the benefits of being a donor and options for submitting your donation. Kindly contact Shanique Woods Boschulte, Foundation Coordinator, at (340) 227-3557.
