With more than 40 years of industry experience to his credit, Mr. Hatter has served on the board of directors of the Heliker-LaHotan Foundation since 2010. Prior to this appointment, he was the director of development and public relations with the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation from 1997 to 2015, and the vice president for development with the American Academy in Rome from 1996 to 1997. From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Hatter held multiple positions with New York University, including senior director and assistant dean of development from 1993 to 1996, director of development from 1990 to 1993, director of corporation and foundation relations from 1988 to 1990, all in the Faculty of Arts and Science, and director of development with the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and the Office of University Development from 1988 to 1990.

Additionally, Mr. Hatter was the director of sponsored projects and research with the Office for Institutional Advancement at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA, from 1986 to 1988, the grants manager for the Department of Radiation Therapy and Nuclear Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University from 1984 to 1986, and a schistosomiasis researcher with the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University from 1982 to 1984. He began his career as the manager of laboratory services with El Paso County Public Health Department, Colorado Springs, from 1975 to 1980, and administrative manager of the Civil Rights Division for the State of Colorado from 1980 to 1981.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Hatter pursued an education at Oklahoma State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1975. He concluded his studies at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, in 1980, graduating with a Master of Public Administration.

Beyond his efforts within the field, Mr. Hatter has contributed to numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He has served as owner and founder of the Jaybuckle Springs Studio since 1997 and as an artist/photographer with the Williamsburg Art & Historical Center since 1993. From 2012 to 2014, he was also a resident artist/photographer with The Gallery 13, LLC. In 1988, Mr. Hatter held a solo art exhibition at the Philadelphia Art Alliance.

In addition to his primary trade, Mr. Hatter was affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He maintained memberships with the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York, American Council on Gift Annuities, the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. In light of his exceptional undertakings, he has accrued several accolades and honors throughout his impressive career, including a Certificate of Recognition from Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society, in 1988. Mr. Hatter has also been selected for inclusion in many editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.
