With more than 40 years of professional experience, Ms. Mowrey has been a teacher with Cadillac Area Public Schools since 1974. In this role, she educates middle school children in math, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, as well as in the sciences.
Ms. Mowrey began her career as a student at the University of Michigan, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 1972, also studying education, mathematics, and earth sciences. After applying hands-on experience in the field, she returned to her studies at Ferris State University, earning a Master of Science in mathematics and education in 2004.
Specializing in professional training and coaching, Ms. Mowrey has received numerous awards and honors throughout her career. In 2001, she was the recipient of a Heart and Soul Award from the Central Michigan Tech Prep Partnership Region 7, which she considers a highlight of her career. Looking toward the future, Ms. Mowrey hopes to continue teaching online after retirement and teaching at the college level.
