    WASHINGTON, DC, April 24, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Idalia Domínguez de Marty with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mrs. Domínguez de Marty celebrates many years of experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. With more than 50 years of professional experience, Mrs. Domínguez de Marty has served as Chief Administrator for the office of US Representative José Serrano of the New York 15th Congressional District, since 2004, having been an executive assistant with the office since 2000. Prior to obtaining these roles, Mrs. Domínguez de Marty was with the office of US Representative Robert Garcia since 1990, working her way up from an entry level receptionist position to Chief Administrator during her tenure. Earlier in her career, she served as the cofounder and organizer of Feria Dulce Sueno, Inc., from 1977 to 1980, as well as a legal and administrative assistant with a law office in Guayama, PR, from 1974 to 1980, and as a teacher with the Antilles Consolidated School System of the US Department of Defense Education Activity from 1966 to 1967.

Mrs. Domínguez de Marty began her career as a student at the College of the Sacred Heart, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and education in 1966. In 1971, she traveled to Mannheim, Germany, to complete coursework with the United States Army Education Center, and she was certified as a teacher in social science by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico the same year. After obtaining hands-on experience in the field, she returned to her studies to completed coursework with the National Writing Institute in 1989 and with the Graduate Institute for Legislative Staff at the Library of Congress Congressional Research Service in 1991. In 1994, Mrs. Domínguez de Marty earned a Master of Arts, with honors, in foreign languages from George Mason University and is a native speaker of English and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of German.

A leader in her community, Mrs. Domínguez de Marty is a member of the Congressional Catholic Staff Association, an organization that fosters spiritual, social, and professional opportunities among Catholic staffers, since it was first established. Over the course of her career, she has mentored countless individuals and has been a fierce advocate of equality and statehood for Puerto Rico. In addition, she has served as a representative for Congressman Serrano for the Smithsonian Institute of Latino Oversight Committee. In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world and has visited such places as Central and South America, Europe, the Caribbean, as well as many of the U.S. states. Mrs. Domínguez de Marty has been highlighted in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Politics in honor of her work.
