SOUTHBOROUGH, MA, June 13, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present John Arnold Mylotte with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Mylotte celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A childhood love of writing short stories and poems led to a thriving career for Mr. Mylotte, who has been president of TechWrite Associates since 1987. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from Villanova University and a Master of Arts in English from Lehigh University, he worked as a technical editor for the Naval Air Engineering Center in Philadelphia, PA. He then became a senior technical editor for the Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility, serving in that capacity for four years before being promoted to director of technical publications and director of public relations. He also completed a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Suffolk University Law School and earned a postgraduate certificate in technical writing through the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Mr. Mylotte spent a portion of his career in academia as an adjunct professor and senior lecturer at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Alongside six other professors, he established a communications and technical writing program through which they taught people from around the country who would eventually go on to create publications of their own. As someone who takes pride in being able to constantly reinvent himself, he is also an internationally recognized poet with more than 650 poems to his credit. He is a member of the Wayland Poetry Society, the Worcester County Poetry Association and the Society for Technical Communication, from which he has received five awards for competitive technical writing.
In addition to his poetry, Mr. Mylotte has published articles in professional journals and is the author of "The Art of Technical Writing" and "Guide to Writing the Formal Technical Report." He was a featured guest on several television programs between 2006 and 2015 and has been a volunteer for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life since 1995. In 1998, he notably won the Sherlock Holmes Award. He has also been included in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
