A celebrated and accomplished figure in the field of orthopedic surgery, Dr. Rose currently serves as a professor of orthopedic surgery at the Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital and the Stanford University Medical Center. In addition, she participates on the scientific committee of the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics, as a faculty senate member of the Stanford University School of Medicine, as chair of the research committee of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, and as a member of the Child Health Research Institute and Stanford Neurosciences Institute. Dr. Rose additionally serves on the taskforce on childhood motor disorders with the National Institutes of Health.

Directing the Motion & Gait Analysis Lab at Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital, a multifaceted diagnostic service for pediatric patients with gait and upper limb movement disorders, Dr. Rose focuses her research on early brain and motor development in preterm children and the neuromuscular problems underlying motor discrepancies in children with cerebral palsy. She has been exploring the mechanisms behind early brain development and its impact upon neuromuscular disorders for more than two decades.

Alongside her primary endeavors, Dr. Rose has been an editorial reviewer of Applied Biomechanics since 2009 and The Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology Journal since 2005. In addition, she was co-editor of the book, "Human Walking," currently in its third edition, which offers a multidisciplinary perspective on gait analysis. Through her academic work, Dr. Rose has acted as a course director of Anatomy of Movement, which teaches students musculoskeletal anatomy and clinical applications that present perspectives from bioengineering, anthropological and artistic standpoints.

In light of her exceptional achievements in the medical education industry, Dr. Rose has accrued several accolades throughout her career. The recipient of the Harman Neuroscience Clinical Endowment Award from Stanford University from 2005 to 2007, she also received an educational fellowship through the American Lung Association and a dean's postdoctoral fellowship through the Stanford University School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Rose was honored with the United Arab Emirates Robotics for Good Award in Artificial Intelligence for her work on a pediatric exoskeleton in 2016.

Dr. Rose is the proud mother of two children. She holds a Bachelor of Science in zoology from the University of California, Davis, and a Doctor of Philosophy in physiology from Stanford University. Notably, Dr. Rose has been interviewed for the New York Times Magazine, Vogue and Popular Mechanics.
