After earning a Bachelor of Science in physics from Vanderbilt University and a Doctor of Medicine from Saint Louis University, Dr. Daus began working as a rotating intern in surgery with the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Following these accomplishments, he became a resident in neurosurgery for six additional years. He worked at Midwest Neurosurgery Center and is currently with the Department of Defense (DoD) as a USMEPCOM Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Daus is experienced at treating a variety of issues, including slipped disks, spinal stenosis, brain injury and tumors, whiplash, stroke, brain bleeding, carpal tunnel syndrome, auto accident cases, and personal injury cases.

Dr. Daus is a diplomate through the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the National Board of Medical Examiners and a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. For his professional accomplishments, he has been recognized with the Civilian Award through USMEPCOM, and numerous features with Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and Who's Who in Science and Engineering. Looking ahead, Dr. Daus intends to experience continued growth and success with the Department of Defense. Dr. Daus affiliates himself with the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the Southern Neurosurgical Society so as to remain aware of changes and updates in an ever-advancing specialty.

Equally passionate about human rights and his community, Dr. Daus gives back to the community via the A.M.A. National Coalition of Physicians Against Family Violence, which he has been a part of since 1994. He is a scholarship contributor to both the University of Kentucky and Louisville St. Xavier High School. Furthermore, he charitably donates to the Archdiocese of Louisville, (Kentucky), the University of Louisville Medical School and the University of Louisville Undergraduate Arts and Science College, Vanderbilt University, St. Louis University School of Medicine, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the American Red Cross, the Christian Appalachian Fund, Marine Corps Toys For Tots, U.S.O., Catholic Relief Services, Sisters of the Poor Claires, and Feed the Children organizations. For his professional accomplishments, he has been recognized with the Civilian Award through USMEPCOM, and numerous features with Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and Who's Who in Science and Engineering. Dr. Daus is a USMEPCOM (DoD) founding member of the National Regional Training Committee. Dr. Daus is a Regional CMO and ACMO Trainer who trains other physicians to become successful CMO leaders, who are dispersed throughout the United States.
