Michael S. Sofman has been named to Consumers' Research Council's America's Top Physicians.

Dr. Sofman is a dermatologist and longtime partner at Sobel and Sofman, MD, PA, in Hollywood, FL. Originally established by Dr. Stuart Sobel in 1976, Dr. Sofman joined the full-service, general dermatology practice in 1989, which has grown steadily since that time. In addition to treating medical conditions of the skin, Sobel and Sofman, MD, PA, performs a variety of cosmetic procedures, including laser procedures, microdermabrasion, sclerotherapy, Botox, Restylane and acid peels.
A recipient of a fellowship by the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Sofman is also a longstanding member of the Florida Medical Association, the Broward County Medical Association and the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatological Surgery. Locally, he has served as president of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Broward County.
Dr. Sofman earned a Bachelor of Science in biology at Georgetown University in 1981, followed by a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 1985. He then interned at the University of Pittsburgh and went on to a dermatology residency at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, where he served as chief resident his final year. Dr. Sofman is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. Cited in over a dozen editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World, he has also been named to Consumers' Research Council's America's Top Physicians and to Castle Connolly's America's Top Doctors as One of the Top Doctors in the Country as listed by U.S. News & World Report.
