At the start of her career, she honed her expertise in education as a French teacher at Allerdice High School in Pittsburgh, PA and Mamaroneck High School before becoming a personnel specialist with G.D. Searle & Co. Subsequently, she served with the company as an organization development training consultant. Over the years, Ms. Burman grew her knowledge in career development and management, as well as management consulting through roles with Abbott Laboratories, Harris Bank and the eponymous Dee Burman & Associates.
An expert in her field, Ms. Burman holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College and a Master of Arts from Middlebury College. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, she affiliated herself with the American Society for Training and Development. In addition, Ms. Burman maintained a connection with the International Quality Leadership Institute, the Association of Psychological Type-National Conference, the Organization Development Institute, the Association of Career Professionals International and the American Counseling Association.
Due to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Burman has been honored with a plethora of features in such professional publications as Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in the Midwest, Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women.
