Linda Mitchell Maloney is a longstanding member of the Catholic Biblical Association and the Appalachian Mountain Club of Boston.

Rev. Maloney has devoted much of her career to religious services and academia. Most recently, she served as an interim pastor at Calvary Episcopal Church in Underhill, Vt. between 2010 and 2012 and as a priest in partnership at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Enosburg Falls, Vt. between 2005 and 2009. Rev. Maloney formerly spent ten years as an academic editor for the Liturgical Press in Collegeville, Minn. beginning in 1995, and six years serving as an assistant and associate professor of New Testament at the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, Calif. beginning in 1989.

Dr. Maloney taught American History at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville from 1968 to 1969, Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio, TX from 1971 to 1972, Texas Christian University from 1972 to 1973, and the University of South Carolina in Columbia from 1973 to 1979.

The author of "The Captain from Connecticut" in 1986 (new ed. 2013), Rev. Maloney also authored "All That God Had Done with Them" in 1991. She is the co-author of "Acts: Wisdom Commentary Series" with Ivoni Richter Reimer, which is set to be released in 2020. Rev. Maloney has notably served as a translator for more than 60 theological works in both German and French as well.

Responsible for co-founding the women's studies program at the University of South Carolina in Columbia in 1975, Rev. Maloney was the first woman in the history of the Catholic faculty at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen (Germany) to be awarded a Th.D. in Sacred Scripture. She previously earned a B.A. (classical), a Doctor of Philosophy, and a Master's degree from St. Louis University and a Master of International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina. Rev. Maloney became an ordained priest of the Episcopal Church in 2003.

Rev. Maloney is a longstanding member of the Catholic Biblical Association and the Appalachian Mountain Club of Boston. She formerly served as a trustee for the Vermont Ecumenical and Bible Society from 2012 to 2015. A National Merit Scholar in 1956 and postdoctoral fellow at the Smithsonian Institution from 1969 to 1970, Rev. Maloney has been cited in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Religion, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
