Prior to obtaining this position, she was an elementary teacher with Unadilla Elementary School in New York, from 1994 to 1998. In addition to her primary roles, she served as an adjunct professor of Genesee Community College in Batavia, New York, from 2000 to 2006 and on the shared decision-making committee for the Batavia City School District. Ms. DiSanto is an associate member of the Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development, the Zonta Club of Batavia-Genesee County, and the board of directors for the Genesee YWCA.

Ms. DiSanto began her career as a student at the State University of New York, Oneonta, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She subsequently joined Binghamton University, State University of New York, earning a Master of Science in special education in 1998. She is certified as a school district administrator in the state of New York, and in administration and higher education administration by Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.

Throughout her career, Ms. DiSanto has been recognized for her contributions, having received an Excellence Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development. The Paolo Busti Cultural Foundation of Genesee County presented her with an Outstanding Italian American Award in 2018, and she received the Zontian of the Year Award from the Zonta Club of Batavia, Genesee County. She has been featured in numerous honors publications, including Who's Who in America. In her free time, Ms. DiSanto enjoys travel, education, hiking, swimming, sales, and marketing.
