Not Drug Testing 35,000 Fatal Crash Drivers in 2017 an Alarming Traffic Safety Problem

No valid drug test for 35,000, 67% of the 52,274 fatal crash drivers, and no valid alcohol test for 31,000, 60%. 8 states had NO valid drug test result for more than 1,000 drivers.

    SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 20, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marijuana at 19.2%, the No. 1 killer drug in fatal crash drivers with the percentage up 41% in 5 years. DUI still No.1, but up less than 1% in 2017, and down 7% in five years. Note that 8 states had marijuana percentage higher than the DUI level of 27.9%. Narcotic presence is declining, now 6% in 2017 vs. 16% in 2016.

9 states now have no penalty for marijuana possession, blurring the line between recreational and legal use.
