An accomplished listee, Ronald Griffin celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

As a professor in the Florida A&M University College of Law, Mr. Griffin brings more than 40 years of experience to his role. Now recognized as an emeritus professor at the Washburn University School of Law, he taught at the institution from 1979 to 2011. A child of the civil rights era, Mr. Griffin witnessed clergymen, young academics and professionals from numerous fields come together for the greater good of humanity. This inspired him to enter the legal profession, which he accomplished after earning a BS from Hampton Institute in 1965 and JD from Howard University three years later. In 1970, he began serving as an assistant corporate counsel for the Washington, D.C. government before transitioning to his current role in academia. He was also commissioner of the Kansas Continuing Legal Education Commission and handled consumer protection complaints for the northeast Kansas Better Business Bureau. Mr. Griffin has written and published several legal articles, including "Republicanism (Comment): How Can Blacks Revive a Constitutional Dream" and "Hill's Account: Law School, Legal Education and the Black Law Student."

Outside of his work as an educator, Mr. Griffin is also deeply committed to enriching and improving the world around him as a delegate to the People to People ambassador program in China and the former chairman of the board of directors for the Midwest People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference. He also chaired the Brown Foundation board of directors from 1996 to 1999 and was invited to observe hearings involved in the process of restructuring Canada's Constitution.
Named William O. Douglas Outstanding Professor of Year in 1985 and again in 1994, Mr. Griffin was also a fellow in the Parker School of Foreign and Comparative Law and received a Kline sabbatical research grant from Washburn University. He maintains affiliations with the American Bar Association, the Center States Law School Association, the Kansas Bar Association, Phi Beta Delta, Phi Kappa Phi, the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, and the Florida Bar Association.
