LOS ANGELES, CA, March 15, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- NFTs are opening the film industry to a wider investor base than ever. Stronghold is the first women driven Brazil/USA film production to release digital collectables through a partnership with NFB-NonFungableBrasil. The post-apocalyptic thriller Stronghold, an indie feature written-directed by award-winning filmmaker Julia Camara, and produced by acclaimed set photographer Erika Doss, will begin production on location in Thousand Oaks, California, next week.
Stronghold is a dystopian tale of resilience in which a young survivalist and her mother live completely isolated in the woods. When a menacing stranger appears, their lives are disrupted and their future threatened.
Toplining Camara's cast are Bianca A. Santos (Ouija, Priceless, The Duff) and Jaqueline Fleming (Red, River Runs Red, The Quad) as the familial pair in peril, and Oliver Rayon (Room for Rent, Studio City Kings, Doc Holiday's Revenge) as the stranger who threatens the isolated duo.
Santos is repped by Global Artists (theatrical) and APA (commercials) and managed by Marni Rosenzweig. Fleming, a Danish native, is handled by agents Daniel Hoff at his eponymous agency and Cindy Hill at Gravity Hill and manager Adam Robinson of The Rookery. Rayon, who hails from Mexico, is repped by Courtney Pelson at Aqua Talent and managed by Gina Ruggolo.
Camara wrote the sci-fi feature Area Q (starring Isaiah Washington), the road movie Open Road (Andy Garcia, Juliette Lewis, Camilla Belle) and the multi-award winning sci-fi found footage feature Occupants (with Star Trek: Voyager's Robert Picardo). When not behind the camera, she teaches Screenwriting at UCLA Extension Writers' Program and at Sundance Collab. Camara was a mentor for the Sundance Labs in 2022.
Doss is a (Brazil Native) Unit Still Photographer for the Motion Picture and Television Industries. She had the pleasure of working with 21 Century Fox on 'The Hate you Give', Netflix on the 'Stranger Things' International Campaign for S3, Universal Pictures on 'Dear Evan Hansen' and on the reboot of 'The Wonder Years' for ABC/Disney.
Serving as executive producers are T. Bankolé, Jaqueline Fleming and Jaq Entertainment Group.
