Ms. Elliott has most recently established herself as a respected performance management consultant with the majority of her career was dedicated to quality management director for Carle Health based in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. With a career spanning 40 years, she has dedicated over five years to her current role, where she excels working with operational staff and leaders managing aspects of health care delivery. Ms. Elliott's work is particularly distinguished by her emphasis on behavioral skills, such as approachability, respect, teamwork, and professionalism. These skills have been instrumental in fostering relationships that enhance project success and interdepartmental collaboration.

In her current capacity at Carle Health, Ms. Elliott collaborates with leaders of a variety of disciplines to improve patient outcomes across the health care system. Her recent involvement with care management and the Twistle software platform exemplifies her commitment to enhancing patient engagement and care continuity post-discharge. Ms. Elliott's ability to interface with C-suite executives and professionals across disciplines underscores her leadership and strategic insight in advancing healthcare initiatives.

Ms. Elliott's career trajectory is marked by significant roles that have contributed to her expertise in health care management. Before her current role in Consulting at Carle Health, she was the executive director of quality management at Health Alliance Medical Plans from 2010 to 2018. Ms. Elliott's tenure with the organization also included a period from 1996 to 2009 as the director of quality management, where she was responsible for developing strategic planning for quality management initiatives, overseeing credentialing, wellness, population-based disease management, and more. Earlier roles include working for Carle Clinic Association, a large medical group in central Illinois, as a manager, then as a quality improvement coordinator between 1990 and 1996, as a health services coordinator at CarleCare Inc. from 1986 to 1990, as a medical record discharge analysis/coding supervisor at Burnham Hospital between 1984 and 1986, and as a quality assurance coordinator/coding services at Illinois State University from 1983 to 1984. Ms. Elliott began her journey as a record audit clerk at the Carle Clinic Association, where she was involved in diagnostic coding, HICDA/ICD-9-CM coding conversions, and statistical data analysis from 1981 to 1982.

Ms. Elliott is active in the community as a volunteer with Women's Legacy Circle through Carle Health Center for Philanthropy. She also assisted in an advance care planning project with Carle Health and continues these efforts within the community, as well as assists University of Illinois fellows by connecting them with former interns at Carle Health Foundation Hospital, offering insights into health insurance and the Carle Health System.

The foundation of Ms. Elliott's professional success is deeply rooted in her academic background. She earned a Bachelor of Science in health information management from Illinois State University in 1984. She later pursued a master's degree in health services administration from the College of Saint Francis, graduating in 1996. Moreover, Ms. Elliott received credentials as a registered health information administrator through the American Health Information Management Association.

Active in her professional community, Ms. Elliott is a member of the American Health Information Management Association. Furthermore, she draws constant inspiration from her mother's healthcare legacy as she was in the first nursing class at Parkland college in Urbana, IL, became a nurse leader at Carle Health prior to retiring to teach communication courses to health care physicians and leaders, and she continues to dedicate her time as a parish nurse.
