Her journey in this field spans over three decades, beginning with her tenure as a Sales Associate and Manger at Simon & Schuster from 1994 to 2011. Ms. Armstrong-Frank's dedication to fostering inclusive environments led her to positions of increasing responsibility, including as Manager of Customer Programs at Simon & Schuster until 2020, and subsequently as the director of workplace culture and diversity initiatives at both Paramount and Simon & Schuster until 2023.

In addition to her corporate roles, Ms. Armstrong-Frank has been an entrepreneur and personal advocate for DEI policies. She founded Amanda's Editing Room in New York in 2010 and has served as its chief executive officer since its inception. Her passion for promoting diversity within the publishing industry led her to become a diversity consultant in 2013 and co-found StrongArm Events and Consulting in 2018. Ms. Armstrong-Frank is also the chair of the Diversity Council at Simon & Schuster, a position she has held since 2005.

Ms. Armstrong-Frank's expertise in leadership and communication has been recognized through her involvement with several industry-related organizations such as the American Association of Publishing, the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications, and Seramount. Her commitment to these principles is further evidenced by her creation of the Simon & Schuster Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council Scholarship – the first scholarship ever to be developed by the company. This initiative not only highlights her innovative approach to fostering inclusivity but also underscores her ability to turn visionary ideas into actionable programs that have a lasting impact on the industry.

Ms. Armstrong-Frank's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Long Island University in 1988. Her commitment to continuous learning led her to obtain a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University in 2022. The values instilled by her parents regarding the importance of education have been a guiding light throughout her career, inspiring her to pursue excellence and advocate for change within her chosen field.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Armstrong-Frank is actively involved with civic-minded organizations, such as the MJAC Foundation and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, reflecting her commitment to social justice and community engagement. Her contributions have been recognized with several awards, including one from MJAF in 2019 and a Plaque Award from the Book Industry Study Group in 2014.
