In June 2013, the 2014 Acura MDX received a full redesign, which included the development of a more rigid and lightweight body and chassis. The weight of the SUV was reduced by more than 275 pounds when compared to the previous model. It also gained body rigidity and aerodynamic efficiency in addition to low running resistance. (2)
