As president of this company and with 12 years of experience in business and concept development, Mr. Wimmer is responsible for working on new ventures and contracts as well as proposals. He also creates and develops exciting new business opportunities by building meaningful relationships with customers in the federal and commercial market space. He does this by demonstrating passion to promote his company with enthusiasm and excellence in customer service. Mr. Wimmer has studied defense and federal acquisition contracting and contributed to authoring various systems of systems requirements and provided conceptual documentation outlining future technologies to be integrated into U. S. Army Programs of Record on behalf of the Warfighter.

Prior to co-founding Thompson-Wimmer in 2010, Mr. Wimmer served as a counterintelligence special agent with the U.S. Army, and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. While deployed, Mr. Wimmer and his team supported efforts to report and suppress threats against U.S. and coalition forces.

Brian also worked for the US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence located at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. As a combat developer for the Requirements Determination Directorate, Brian defined counterintelligence (CI) and human intelligence (HUMINT) capability requirements necessary for assisting intelligence collectors in reporting and managing collection tasks. As a CI and HUMINT user representative for Training and Doctrine Capabilities Manager Ground Sensors, Brian advocated for state of the art software, hardware, and tools that were being requested by the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is further recognized for his dedication and work on the CI and HUMINT program of record which led to it being an accepted and approved program by the US Army Requirements Oversight Counsel and Joint Requirements Oversight Counsel. Mr. Wimmer has also shared his experiences in OIF and OEF as an instructor for students in counterintelligence. Additionally, he has written US Army doctrine for topics including biometrics enabled intelligence and tactics, techniques, and procedure relating to document and media exploitation.

Before he worked in the US Army intelligence field, Brian was a Sales Manager in Atlanta, Georgia for a wholesale merchandise company. His expertise elevated the position of the company by increasing its sales revenue generated in the wholesale market by improving customer relations and establishing a new customer base. This experience has been applied numerous times throughout his career as an intelligence collector and continues to serve Thompson-Wimmer as they expand their network of partners and resources for providing customers not just adequate but exceptional customer service.

Mr. Wimmer received a certificate of completion from Rapport Leadership International, Rapport School of Leadership Development in 2010. He is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). He attributes his success to his entrepreneurial mindset and his passion to connect with people and set the stage for success by bringing expertise and ideas to support projects and partner firms.
