Cambridge Who's Who Names Katarina Ammitzbøll Executive of the Year in Government Administration

Katarina Ammitzbøll Strives to Develop Policies of Reform and Peace Building



    GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, August 16, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Katarina Ammitzbøll, Counselor, Danish Permanent Mission to the United Nations, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year in Government Administration. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

With her prized expertise in leadership and international relations, Ms. Ammitzbøll has risen to the top of her field after more than a decade having worked for international organizations including the UN, EU and NATO. In her role as Counselor, she collaborates with stakeholders on an international level of concern, working on the development of foreign relations, human rights and humanitarianism. She is also focused on creating policies to achieve democratic standards of social and political reform, legal reforms and development in Afghanistan, and conflict and transitional societies including Afghanistan, East Timor and Egypt. Attributing her success to her hard work and ethics, Ms. Ammitzbøll became involved in her profession because of her interest in making a change on a worldwide scale.

Ms. Ammitzbøll has achieved success in her academic career as well, earning a Master of Law in international development from Roskilde University in Denmark. She has also received a Master of Arts in International Development from The University of Warwick, United Kingdom and a certificate in leadership from Harvard Business School. Ms. Ammitzbøll is a member of the Women's Adventure Club and the Albright Group and President of the International Board for a NGO for children in Afghanistan MMCC http://www.afghanmmcc.org/. In 2004, she received the Medal of Recognition for Work in Afghanistan from President Karzai. In the future, Ms. Ammitzbøll intends to pursue to contribute more effectively to peacebuilding and to work as a peace-broker.
