Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., Seeks to Raise Awareness About Drunk Driving with First-Ever National T-Shirt Day

    TEANECK, NJ, April 13, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The New Jersey personal injury law firm of Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., asks the public to join in a day of fun and reflection while raising awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving on the first annual National T-Shirt Day on Friday, May 27, 2016.

For many, Memorial Day Weekend has become known as the unofficial start of the summer season. It is meant to serve as an enjoyable and relaxing time.

Unfortunately, it is also one of the deadliest weekends of the year due to crowded roadways and the increase in drinking and driving. On average, 161 people are killed per day in car accidents over this three-day span, with 40 percent of those fatalities due to drunk driving crashes.

National T-Shirt Day is aimed at calling attention to this issue and ending these tragedies - all of which are 100 percent preventable. Together, the law firm believes, Americans have the power to end drunk driving and save thousands of lives each year.

Starting today, for every "like" received on the firm's Facebook page, Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., will donate $1 to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Through National T-Shirt Day, the firm pledges to donate up to $10,000 to raise awareness to this important cause.

For years, MADD has played a critical role in preventing drunk driving. The organization is responsible for assisting thousands of victims, survivors and family members in their recoveries.

Like the successful ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, participants in National T-Shirt Day are asked to post a photo or video of themselves wearing their favorite T-shirt to Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., social media pages - Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter - on the Friday before Memorial Day.

For each post received, the firm will donate $1 to MADD or a charity of the participant's choice.

This event will be promoted on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using #NationalTShirtDay.
