EDMONTON, AB, August 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stephen King's short story collections, Night Shift, Skeleton Crew and Everything's Eventual, plus episodes of The Twilight Zone and The Hitchhiker television series, are what inspired bestselling author Cheryl Kaye Tardif's earlier writing, and now she has released a novelette e-book titled Remote Control and an e-book collection of short stories titled Skeletons in the Closet & Other Creepy Stories.

Skeletons in the Closet contains thirteen stories, including the novelette Remote Control, which was published separately on July 1, 2010, so that readers could get a taste of what they'd find in the collection. Some of the stories have been published on the author's website and on www.Textnovel.com, but three stories are brand new and have never been published.

"This collection has been in the works for many years, with some of the stories dating back to the late '80s," author Cheryl Kaye Tardif states. "There was a time when I dreamed of writing for the hit TV series The Hitchhiker, so my older works reflect that quirky, supernatural horror element."

Skeletons in the Closet & Other Creepy Stories is available August 1st through Amazon's Kindle Store and in multiple ebook formats at Smashwords. It will also be available via KoboBooks, Barnes & Noble, iPad and much more.

Cheryl Kaye Tardif is a Canadian author best known for her award-winning bestselling novel Whale Song, an inspiring tale of racism, bullying and tragedy, and her thrillers The River and Divine Intervention. In September, Tardif will take a detour into the romance genre (under the pen name of Cherish D'Angelo) with her debut contemporary romantic suspense Lancelot's Lady, which placed in the semi-finals of Dorchester Publishing's "Next Best Celler" contest and won an Editor's Choice Award from Textnovel.
