Yakima, WA, August 13, 2008: Kathie FitzPatrick, Founder, Ministry Director and Coordinator of the Young Lion's Youth Ministry Program, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of non-profit ministry services.

Ms. FitzPatrick has more than 11 years of experience in ministry services. Devoting most of her early working years to TV Production in California, then later to Real Estate in Washington, beginning in 1994-- she eventually became involved with volunteer youth ministry services in 1997. She then immersed herself entirely in the quest to rehabilitate youth offenders, and founded The Young Lion's Youth ministry Program, based out of Stone Church Assemblies of God Church in Yakima, WA. Young Lion's Youth Ministry Program became a licensed non-profit youth services organization in the State of Washington in May of 2002. The program aims to assist youth in juvenile detention centers, and promote positive lifestyle change, through the use of Bible Life Principles. She offers talks and seminars regarding anger management, overcoming suicidal tendencies, drug and alcohol addictions, healing past hurts, and dealing with teen sexuality issues. Ms. FitzPatrick is quoted as saying, "With the right caring people and the right approach, these kids can be corrected and re-directed before it's too late." She estimates that the Young Lion's Youth Ministry team has seen and reached between 12 and thirteen thousand teenagers in Yakima County alone.

A published author, Ms. FitzPatrick wrote a book entitled, 'Extreme Teen Rescue,' released in October of 2001, that is now used by youth detention Chaplains and volunteers worldwide to train and present dynamic youth detention ministries. Additionally, she is the author of 'Angel Promises...Remembering the Youngest Firefighter,' (Pleasant Word) a true story about the loss of her 18 year old daughter, Karen Lee FitzPatrick, who perished while battling the blazes of 'The Thirtymile Fire' in Winthrop, WA in July of 2001.

A truly multi-faceted individual, Ms. FitzPatrick is a Realtor, (GRI-Graduate of the Real Estate Institute) and a Certified Residential Specialist, both NAR designations. She still maintains a Phlebotomy technician's license, although she is not currently working in the field. Ms. FitzPatrick received an award of recognition for outstanding youth services from the Director of Volunteers in Agencies of Washington State in 1998, and continues to be recognized by the Governor's Council of Juvenile Justice, and is on the team of volunteers for Yakima County Juvenile Justice. She was the proud recipient of 'The Volunteer Appreciation Award for Positive Heartfelt Influence on Young Lives' from D.O.V.A, Washington State. Ms. FitzPatrick is also part of the Vision Minister's Fellowship of Christian Faith Center, Federal Way, WA., whose mission statement is to "Teach and train the nation and the world."
