While attending college, she attained a position at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio where she gained extensive hands-on training in microbiology and pathology. Ms. Kerr became a certified specialist through the American Society for Clinical Pathology and attributes her success to unwavering perseverance.

Ms. Kerr holds a bachelor of science in biology and chemistry from Kent State University, earned in 1966. Her professional affiliations include the South Central Association for Clinical Microbiology.
