Mr. Bodenstein earned a Bachelor of Arts in government from Franklin & Marshall College in 1977 before obtaining a JD in economics from the University of Miami. He was admitted to the bar in Illinois in 1980, the U.S. District Court of Illinois in 1980, and the seventh circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals in 1982. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1983. By participating in his professional community, Mr. Bodenstein has been able to stay at the top of his field. He is a member of the American Bar Association's business law section, the Chicago Bar Association, and the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers, of which he was a founding member, and has served as its president since 2014.
