Until 2012, as the founder and executive vice president of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), Mr. Rabun works tirelessly with law enforcement, families and professionals on issues related to missing and sexually exploited children. At the helm of the program called Safeguard Their Tomorrows, Mr. Rabun works in cooperation with Mead Johnson Nutrition, the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety, and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses to promote child safety and infant abduction response across the country. Backed by four decades of experience in the nonprofit sector, Mr. Rabun is highly regarded for his professionalism, ability to create and implement strong programs for child safety, and his passion for protecting young people. Prior to his current role, Mr. Rabun served as the COO of the organization and program manager for one of its early programs on exploited and missing children. Additionally, he was the executive director of the Kentucky Civil Liberties Union and the director of community residential treatment services in Louisville, Ky.
In recognition of professional excellence, Mr. Rabun was the recipient of the Key to the City of Louisville and the Russell L. Colling Award from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety. He was also selected for inclusion in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America, and Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
