Noteworthy projects include his work as a research director for the Center for Applied Colloid and BioColloid Sciences, and a course convener and selection officer in the areas of science, biotechnology, sustainability and environmental sciences. Dr. Harding has also achieved patents for absorbing colloid flotation for the treatment of industrial waste water, the development of a drug delivery system for intravenous injections and the development of safety testing of recycled plastic bottles.
Dr. Harding attributes his success in education to his own academic background. He holds a Ph.D. and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne, as well as a certification in learning and teaching from Swinburne University. In recognition of his professional excellence, he was presented with the Linkage Award from the Australian government for his work in applied biotechnology and he earned a major research grant from the Melbourne Metropolitan Board of Works. To remain at the top of his field, Dr. Harding is a member of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, through which he previously served as sectional chairman and secretary. Looking ahead, he intends to continue in his research and work as a professor.
