Other important roles that Mr. Brandt has held over the years include being a member of the president's National Finance Board during the Clinton Administration, a member of the Panel of Trustees for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Southern District of Illinois, a member of the executive committee and national government affairs committee of the Bankruptcy Section of the Commercial Law League of America, and a member of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Bay Area Bankruptcy Forum. He is noted for his ability to provide the U.S. Congress with trusted advice regarding matters of insolvency and bankruptcy policy.
An active member of his professional community, Mr. Brandt maintains affiliations with the American Bankruptcy Institute, the California Receivers Forum, the Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association, the Commercial Law League of America, the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Professionals, and the International Insolvency Institute, among many other organizations, and was recently admitted as a Participant in the International Exchange of Experience on Insolvency Law.
