A certified music director with more than 40 years of experience, Mr. McLaughlin is the former director of music for Central Trinity United Methodist Church. He also previously served as the director of music for Faith United Methodist Church and an organist for First Christian Church and Hillsboro Church of Christ. He is the booking agent for the Zanesville Concert Association.
Mr. McLaughlin helped bring music into the hearts and minds of youngsters as a vocal music teacher in the Zanesville City Schools district, where he was chair of the vocal music department for 10 years. During that time, he was instrumental in developing the music curriculum and enriching students' overall educational experience by incorporating the arts, which is unfortunately a dying practice in some institutions. He also founded and directed the Optimists Boys Club Choir and served as president of the Thursday Music Club. Mr. McLaughlin is currently the conductor and music director for the Zanesville Civic Chorus. He is the assistant director for the Y-City barbershop Chorus which works to encourage "keeping the whole world singing."
