Admitted to practice in the State of California, Ms. Epstein graduated with a JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law with honors in 1986. She previously earned a certificate in gerontological studies from the University of California, a Master of Science in counseling from California State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern California. Ms. Epstein remains current in the legal community through affiliation with the San Francisco County Bar Association, the Alameda County Bar Association, the California State Bar, and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
Ms. Epstein previously practiced with the firm Crosby Heafey Roach & May, which later merged with Reed Smith LLP. Prior to attending law school she was a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Director of the Geriatric Counseling Program at the Clinic for Adults and Children. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Oakland Symphony. Her accomplishments were recognized when she was named one of The Best Lawyers in America in 2009, and a Northern California Super Lawyer each year since 2004. She was also chosen to be featured in the 69th and 70th editions of Who's Who in America, the 17th through 19th editions of Who's Who in American Law, and the 42nd and 43rd editions of Who's Who in the West.
Ms. Epstein is the co-author of all 7 editions of the CEB Action Guide Capacity and Undue Influence: Assessing, Challenging and Defending, and a contributor to the publication International Protection of Adults, Oxford University Press 2015, and to Best Practices for Structuring Trust and Estates, Aspatore Books, 2014 Edition.
