Mr. Gibson is a retired software engineer and military veteran who has demonstrated professional excellence throughout his career. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama in 1973, the same year he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He advanced through the military ranks to captain in 1977, and continued to serve his country in this capacity until resigning from the military in 1983.
Mr. Gibson began the civilian portion of his career as a computer programmer and analyst for Computer Sciences Corporation in Colorado Springs, Colo. and Ridgecrest, Calif. After a stint as a science computer programmer for Boeing Computer Support Services, he utilized his overall experience as a computer engineer at the Edwards Air Force Base in California. Later positions prior to his retirement included software tester for EER Systems, Inc., software engineer for EDO Technical Services Operations at Edwards Air Force Base, embedded programming professional for AOA Inc., and software tester for Boeing Service Company.
Aside from his work in the office, Mr. Gibson has contributed articles to a number of newsletters and magazines over the years. He was a candidate for the California State Senate through the Antelope Valley Libertarian Party in 2000, and served as treasurer of the organization from 2000 to 2002. An avid checker player, Mr. Gibson was president of the California Checker Association from 1999 to 2005. His further hobbies include collecting coins, studying history and skiing.
In light of his various accomplishments, Mr. Gibson was chosen to be featured in the 37th edition of Who's Who in Finance and Business, the 56th through 70th editions of Who's Who in America, and the 27th through 33rd editions of Who's Who in the World. He has also appeared in multiple editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
