A prolific oil painter, Nancy Conrad excels as a private instructor at her studios in Houston, TX and Kalispell, MT. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a double major in painting and art history from Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA, and attended the Glassell School of Art, the teaching institute of the Museum of Fine Art, Houston, on full scholarship for 12 years throughout her days in public school. She previously taught children's art classes and taught afterschool programs at the MFAH and the Contemporary Arts Museum. Ms. Conrad also served as a volunteer art consultant to the Spring Branch Independent School District, and the Mountain Brook School Historical Foundation. Additionally, she hosted a digital photography and oil painting workshop.
Her works resides in the collections of Fortune 500 companies including Allied Bank Systems, First City Banks, Stauffer Hotel, Trammel Crow Properties, Astrodome Sheraton, Methodist Hospitals, Herman Hospitals, BNSF, and Northwestern Mutual Life. She has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, Art Magazine, and Art Voices. She was recognized with a Foley Award by Foley's of Houston and the Purchase Award by the El Paso Museum of Art.
She has exhibited her work in group exhibits such as Sun Carnival Exhibition at the El Paso Museum of Fine Arts and Texas Painting & Sculpture at the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts.
