Recognized by the American Board of Pediatrics as a diplomate in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology, Dr. Moll has worked in health care and medicine since establishing his career in 1977. Highly respected within the medical community, he has achieved great success in his research areas, which have included isolating a bovine brain protein kinase, establishing a protein kinase and employing a novel PEI-cellulose thin-layer system as part of Ph.D. biochemistry. Dr. Moll also established a novel modified flow-dialysis system for steady state hormone binding studies and assisted in delineation of an LH-receptor genetic mutation related to precocious puberty. Further, he was involved with delineation of a novel genetic mutation in thyroid binding globulin in males and novel genetic mutation in succinate dehydrogenase subunit B gene associated with malignant paraganglioma. Dr. Moll was the recipient of a M.D.-Ph.D. training scholarship from the National Institutes of Health, a Medical Excellence Award from the Southern Medical Association, an Andrew Mellon Foundation Fellow Grant at The University of Chicago, an American Lung Association and a Diabetes Research and Education Grant from the Diabetes Foundation of MS.

He was an associate staff member at Little Co. of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, IL, and at The Methodist Hospitals in Gary, IN. He was a staff pediatric endocrinologist at Grady Memorial Hospital and Emory University Henrietta Egleston Hospital for Children in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Moll's career has also taken him to opportunities in the classroom. He was assistant professor of pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology at The University of Chicago, IL, and Emory University in Atlanta, GA, He was associate professor of pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Today, Dr. Moll is a tenured professor of pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology with graduate faculty recognition at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Dr. Moll is a graduate of The University of Chicago, where he earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry in 1975 and an M.D. in 1977. He completed a pediatric residency program with Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan and a pediatric endocrinology fellowship with Wyler Children's Hospital at The University of Chicago. Tremendously active in his professional community, Dr. Moll is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American College of Endocrinology (ACE). He is Sigma Xi The Scientific Research Society University of Mississippi Medical Center Chapter President. He has memberships with The Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association (ADA), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), Pediatric (formerly Lawson Wilkins) Endocrine Society (PES), Southern Medical Association (SMA), Southern Society for Pediatric Research (SSPR), Southern Pediatric Endocrine Society (SPES) and Mississippi Academy of Sciences (MAS).
