BINGHAMTON, NY, January 12, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nancy Wildoner has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As a music educator, Ms. Wildoner has committed her life to helping students explore and improve upon their natural talents. Beginning her career teaching in the Norwich School District, where she served for two years after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in music education from Fredonia State University, she then served as a substitute teacher for Broome County and received a master's degree in music from Binghamton University. From 1984 to 2013, Ms. Wildoner was a music teacher for kindergarten through 12th grade and chair of the fine arts department at Chenango Forks School.
Having studied under composer and organ expert M. Searle Wright and Paul Jordan, a prominent organist from New Haven, Ms. Wildoner has assisted her students in developing their own styles while remaining true to proper classical technique. Outside of the classroom, she serves as the choir director and organist for the First Congregational Church and has been a resident theater organist for the Binghamton Theatre Organ Society since 2014. She also offers private piano and organ lessons and is a former women's auxiliary member of the Sanitaria Springs Fire Department.
Ms. Wildoner holds membership with the American Theatre Organ Society, Broome County Music Educators Association, for which she was a member of the executive council and former first vice president, as well as the New York School Music Association, the Music Educators National Conference, and the American Guild of Organists. She has been published in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.
