Louis Henry Callister Jr. has been named among the Best Lawyers in America

Upon graduation from the University of Utah in 1961 with a JD, he served as an assistant Attorney General for the state of Utah. He joined the law firm now known as Callister Nebeker & McCullough in 1961 where he served in various capacities (including Chairman of the Board) until 2016. During this time, Mr. Callister also held various positions in the private sector where he was recognized for both his legal ability and business acumen. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Callister has served as a director for a wide range of companies including American Stores , Goldman Sachs Bank USA, Lockhart Company, State Savings & Loan Association, Quality Oil Company and Premium Oil Company. He most recently joined Pyramid Oil Company as a director in 2009.
Since being admitted to practice in 1961, Mr. Callister has held various positions with local and regional legal organizations. He served as a governor representative for the State of Utah Substance Abuse and Anti-Violence Coordination Council between 2001 and 2010. In 2015, Mr. Callister became a member of the advisory council with the University of Utah School of Dentistry. He is the former chairman of the Edward G. Callister Foundation.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Callister has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the West, and Who's Who in the World. In addition, he received an honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Utah in 2002.
