Backed by more than two decades of professional experience in fine art and art education, Mr. Lynx is an instructor at Yakima Valley College and the director of Larson Gallery, which recently hosted "First Comes Love" -- a poignant exhibit created to provide others a glimpse into the everyday lives of LGBTQ couples who have been in their relationships for upwards of 10 years. Early in his career, Mr. Lynx held the role of associate director of the Yakima Valley Museum and commissioner on the Yakima Arts Commission.
An alumnus of the Universities of Washington and Oklahoma, Mr. Lynx holds an Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Arts, as well as a Master of Arts in liberal studies, and certificates in primordial sound meditation, seven spiritual laws of yoga, and perfect health. Notably, he has contributed his knowledge to the book and exhibition, "The Golden Spiral: Fibonacci, Sacred Geometry and Divine Proportion," and the books, "Voices in the Museum: Object Stories from the Yakima Valley Museum," "Head Over Heels Over Heels: One Collector's Love Affair with Shoes," "Visual Voices: Women Painters of Washington," and "Ishaan Raga: The Art of Dr. Deepali Mahanta Kayal." Mr. Lynx was honored for his professional accomplishments with the Exhibit Excellence Award in 2008 and the Publication Excellence Award in 2004 by the Washington Museum Association.
