At the start of his career, he joined the service center of the A&P Mechanic Department 573 at Cessna Aircraft Company. He subsequently held similar roles with a different department within Cessna, as well as Fitech Aerospace Seoul.
An alumnus of Parks College of Saint Louis University, Mr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in aeronautical science, with a concentration in maintenance engineering. He also earned airframe and powerplant certification in 1995 through the FAA. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his work many times. In 2002, he won the Silver Medal Award at the First Korea Robot Aircraft Competition hosted by the Korea Aerospace Industries Association, and was featured in the 24th edition of Who's Who in the World.
