A shining example of skill in his field, he has been recognized numerous times, including with the Label A. Katz Young Leadership Award in 1983, the Heritage Award from the State of Israel Bonds in 1988, the Sam Beber Distinguished Alumnus Award from the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization in 1999, the Joseph Papp Racial Harmony Award from the Foundation for Ethic Understanding in 2005, the 2015 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year from George Washington University, and the Public Justice Trial Lawyer of the Year Award in 2016.
