Mr. Rankin earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of California at Davis in 1980, and did postgraduate work at University of California at Berkeley from 1981 to 1983. He was accepted for admission into Harvard University and earned a Master of Business Administration in 1986. Prior to this, he was an assistant vice president for Wells Fargo Bank and in 1988, he joined T. Rowe Price in Los Angeles as a vice president. In 1993, Mr. Rankin moved to Denver where he was vice president of Shareholders Services for Founders Funds. In 1999, Mr. Rankin moved again to Vienna, Va., where he became vice president of customer support for FOLIOfn Investments. In 2000, he transitioned to EquiServe in Jersey City as senior managing director of product management, and in 2004, he returned to California as a director for Pacific Alternative Asset Management Co. Then, in 2016, he became CFO and COO for Risk Premium Investment Management Co. LLC in New York.
Mr. Rankin is a member of the Harvard Business School Club of New York. He has been featured in numerous volumes of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World, as well as the 2000 Who's Who in the West. He enjoys skiing, bicycling, and travel.
