Dr. Lee's extensive academic foundation and career experience make him exceptionally qualified for his position with WavePia. He is a graduate of Kwangwoon University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2002 and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2004. Also in 2004, he completed an information technology program through the University of California, San Diego, where he was a research scholar in the school's Department of Electrical Engineering. In 2012, Dr. Lee furthered his education by earning a Ph.D. in electrical engineering through Texas A&M University.
Prior to his work with WavePia, Dr. Lee was a senior engineer for Samsung Electronics in South Korea. His previous positions include RFIC team manager for the M-X Technology RFIC Research Center, researcher in the RFIC center of Kwangwoon University's Department of Electrical Engineering, and technical maintenance inspector in aviation maintenance engineering for the Republic of Korea Army.
Thanks to his education, research and experience, Dr. Lee has been able to author and publish numerous papers in domestic and international journals, as well as papers for domestic and international conferences. He is especially noted for his research in the field of RF system design, which includes RF module design, fabrication and measurement. His further research interests include microwave circuit design and the design of power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, mixers, voltage control oscillators and more. In 2013, Dr. Lee received a second-prize award for his paper titled "Silicon RFICs for Advanced Wireless Communications and Sensing," which was presented at the Qatar Annual Research Conference. He aims for continued professional achievements as he moves forward in his career.
