Additionally, Dr. Hong has utilized this knowledge in a variety of conference presentations, including Power-Gen Asia, The Second Joint International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Environment, Nano Korea, and International Conference on Environment Science and Engineering. His extensive research has also allowed him to 17 patents in Korea and 15 overseas. The Korea Electronic Power Corporation and the Environment Minister have celebrated Dr. Hong throughout his career; the latter bestowed upon him an award certificate and The Second National Eco-Friendly Technology Award.
Dr. Hong attributes his continued success to his educational background, which includes a bachelor's degree in material engineering from Hanyang University, and a master's degree and Ph.D. in the same subject from the Korea Advanced Institute for Science and Technology.
