An award-winning research physicist regarded for his development of magnetic and magnetostriction hysteresis modeling, Dr. Sablik has played a prominent role in the field of nondestructive testing and evaluation since establishing his career in the late 1960s. In 2007, he established Applied Magnetic and Physical Modeling, LLC and now acts as its CEO. In his current capacity, he focuses his work on the area of magnetic materials and research. Dr. Sablik's leading career achievements include patents for Hi T(sub c) superconductors, as well as the development of Barkhausen Noise, and theory for elastic wave propagation in metal tubes generated by electromagnetic waves. Additionally, his development of models for sensing torque and electrical resistivity and neutron scattering in rare earth metallic materials have earned Dr. Sablik national recognition. For his excellence, he was the recipient of an Imagineer Award from the Mind Science Foundation and was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Who's Who in the World.
Before establishing Applied Magnetic and Physical Modeling LLC, Dr. Sablik achieved success as a staff scientist and senior research physicist with the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas. He also held academic roles as a professor and research associate for Fairleigh Dickinson University and instructor at the University of Kentucky. To further his contributions to the field of science, Dr. Sablik was a member of the advanced board of the Conference on Properties and Applications of Magnetic Materials and he was instrumental in developing Workshop on Advances in Measurement Techniques and Instrumentation for Magnetic Properties Determination. He is also credited with leading the Magnetic Materials, Measurements and Modeling Symposium, as well as the Symposium for Magnetic Materials for Magnetoelectric Devices. Today, he maintains professional alignment with the American Society of Nondestructive Testing, IEEE, the American Physical Society, and the American Geophysical Union.
Dr. Sablik's expertise and experiences are rooted in a strong educational background. Prior to pursuing a career in physics, he attended Cornell University, where he achieved a Bachelor of Arts in 1960. Thereafter, he achieved a Master of Science from the University of Kentucky in 1965 and a Ph.D. from Fordham University in 1972. As he looks ahead, Dr. Sablik intends to work in consulting and advisory capacities within his company.
