Subsequently, she joined The Rick Rack as owner and manager and then, in the late-1970s, Ms. Kettle began in varying communications roles for 3M and Intran Corporation. Over her many years in the field, she held a number of academic roles for Metropolitan State University, the University of Minnesota, Northwestern College, and St. Olaf College.
A graduate of the University of Nebraska, Ms. Kettle holds a Bachelor of Education. Her professional affiliations include the American Advertising Federation, the Public Relations Society of America, the Advertising Federation of Minnesota, and the Minnesota Women's Economic Roundtable. She was selected for membership in Phi Delta Gamma, the graduate women's honor society at the University of Nebraska , Omaha, while undergoing graduate studies there in 1969. During her spare time, she makes it a point to give back to others through the Minnesota Prayer Breakfast Board and the Shoreland Zoning Commission of Dakota County. A stellar example of skill in her field, Ms. Kettle has earned many awards for her work in the field, including being named one of the Outstanding Young Women in America in 1965. Since the late-1980s, she has been featured in many volumes of Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the Midwest, Who's Who in the Media and Communication, and Who's Who of American Women.
