POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, July 19, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Paola Bari a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Ms. Bari celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Bari has just concluded her career as software system engineer at IBM Corporation in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is a celebrated porcelain artist, and the cofounder of the RiverWinds Gallery in Beacon, New York. Ms. Bari learned to love ceramics as a young girl in Italy, and traveled all over the world to learn different techniques. "I love the challenge of adapting my fantasy, my inspirations to what surrounds me and to integrate it in the porcelain to form a harmonic unit," says Ms. Bari on her website.
Born in Melzo, Italy, to Gino Bari and Maria Pedrazzini in 1960, Ms. Bari had only just received her bachelor degree when she was hired by IBM Italy. She worked for the prestigious firm in Milano until 1996, when she became an advanced system programmer and was invited to cross the Atlantic. It did not take long for Ms. Bari to find both marital bliss and the love for art in America.
At first, Ms. Bari's ceramic appeared at the Barnes & Noble in Poughkeepsie, but it would not be long before she began to appear in exhibitions at more prestigious galleries, including the Denise Bibro Fine Art Gallery, Byrdcliffe Barn Pottery, and James Cox Gallery, all in New York. In 2003, she cofounded RiverWinds Gallery and expanded to other local galleries, like Gallery@Rhinebeck, and Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, New York. Ms. Bari has had exhibited pieces in both Europe and America. Even her employer IBM, took interest and showed her work in 2004 and 2005.
Though Ms. Bari primarily works with paint and ceramic, she also created pieces using metal surfaces. Her art sometimes takes the form of functional objects like tea pots, plates and vases. Additionally, her sculpture in porcelain is quite whimsical, featuring stretching frogs, cats, and ornately decorated game fowl. Ms. Bari is a member of the International Porcelain Artists and Teachers, as well as the Arts Mid-Hudson and the Barrett Art Center. She is a certified artist with IPAT.
After concluding her carrier with IBM, Ms. Bari has been dedicating her time to her love for animals and conservation. She is currently a trustee of the Cheetah Conservation Fund, located in Namibia, Africa. Ms. Bari has been visiting the conservation every year and she is the team leader for the Cheetah Conservation Fund New York chapter. She has been focusing on education and fund raising.
For achievements in both computer programming and artistry, Ms. Bari was selected for inclusion in four volumes of the Who's Who in America from 2005 to 2009, the 2006 to 2007 volume of Who's in Finance and Business, the 2006 to 2007 volume of Who's Who of American Women, and the 2006 volume of Who's Who in the World.
