Upon his commencement, he interned at Henry Ford Hospital, and gained hands-on experience in medical director roles at the University of Minnesota, College of Medicine and Dentistry in N.J., and the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He also joined prominent professional organizations like the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, as well as many others.
Throughout his career, Dr. Leon has been recognized for his accomplishments with the Anderson Award through the AAHPER and the Presidential Award for Exercise Science Research through the International Olympic Committee. Additionally, he was featured in five editions of Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and four editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
